OMG!

The National Physical Laboratory has constructed the world's smallest snowman for the holidays with a width of 10 µm!!

Equal to "1/5th the width of a human hair," says the lab.

So adorable!

The NPL made the itty-bitty snowman from "two tin beans used to calibrate electron microscope astigmatism." The eyes and smile were "milled using a focused ion beam" and the nose is "ion beam deposited platinum."

We want one!
